The department of History was established in the year 2020

Objectives

  • In addition, you can also be employed as a researcher in historical research organizations such as Indian council of historical research [ICHR] and Indian council of social research [ICSSR].
  • History has always been a favorite subject for civil service examination IAS, IPS, IFS and state service examination.

  • History can be divided into three major specializations like Archeology, Museology, and archival studies subjects experts are in preservation repairing parchment and microfilming documents.
  • Courses offered are meant to prepare the students not only for future studies in history but all so for careers in law, administration, foreign relations and teaching.

  • The department seeks to provide a unique learning experience for the students and to build and facilitate the students understanding of the elaborate social phenomenon in order for them to lead a life of greater awareness and responsible citizenship.
  • The department aims to be an open and welcoming spot for a healthy exchange of ideas and the encouragement of scholarly excellence there by department endeavors to equip and empower them to face challenges with confidence.

Mission

The department aims to motivate the learners to cognize the breadth and depth of human experience from the past legacy by a comparative study of the past and the contemporary societies and culture; and there by develop their ability to conduct research analyze and assess the evidence resulting in their holistic development. The development endeavors to facilitate the students acquire of knowledge and skills citizens .The department promotes liberal education to understand society, culture, art and architecture and to teach human values.
